Safin Mask Replicas by Factory Entertainment

Factory Entertainment has released a licensed replica of the mask worn by No Time To Die villain Safin.

In the movie No Time To Die, James Bond is on the trail of Safin (played by Rami Malek), a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. But who is this mysterious adversary and why is he wearing a Noh-style mask?

While we wait until September to find out, Safin’s masks have been carefully recreated for collectors as limited edition prop replicas by Factory Entertainment, the company that has replicated many Bond gadgets including the Golden Gun, GoldenEye device, Jaws teeth, tarot cards, SPECTRE ring and the SPECTRE mask.

The No Time To Die Safin Mask is also available as a Fragmented Mask, and as part of a Mask Twin Set. The masks have been beautifully crafted from the prop masks now held in the Bond Archive. The masks are numbered and come with a numbered plaque, wooden display stand, booklet and certificate of authenticity.

The film masks were designed by Costume Designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb with inspiration from traditional Japanese Noh masks, a feature of classical Japanese dance-drama since the 15th century.

“The intention was to create a ‘pure’, expressionless, clean mask to counter the aggression of the character,” Suttirat says, “but also, to underscore a camouflage necessity in the pivotal scene set in the snowy Norwegian landscape. Safin appears in snow gear - white from head to toe in a white landscape - hidden in plain sight until not hidden, and quite startling when moved out of the snow and into the interior“.

NO TIME TO DIE SAFIN MASK PROP REPLICA

As seen in No Time To Die, the full Noh-inspired mask is exclusive to the 007 Store and comes in a collectors box with a prop story booklet, a certificate of authenticity, wooden display stand, numbered limited edition plaque and detachable cord fittings. Made in a numbered series of 500.

£295 / $349.99

Available on the 007 Store (UK/EU/International) and 007 Store USA.

NO TIME TO DIE SAFIN MASK PROP REPLICA – FRAGMENTED EDITION

In the film the mask suffers a dramatic fate, and this prop replica replicates the damage. With carefully constructed and reproduced splintering detail, the mask replica comes with all the collector’s extras and is one of a numbered series of 500.

£295 / $349.99

Available on the 007 Store (UK/EU/International) and 007 Store USA, at Factory Entertainment, or Entertainment Earth or Sideshow.

NO TIME TO DIE SAFIN MASK PROP REPLICA - TWIN SET

This twin edition includes both versions of the prop - whole and fragmented masks - on a specially designed dual-display stand. The set is available in a very limited series of 100 and comes with a combined story booklet and all the collector’s extras of the single masks.

£695.99 / $699.99

Dr. No Le Cercle Casino Plaque Set

To celebrate the first iconic scene where we see James Bond (Sean Connery) in a Bond film, Factory Entertainment has released a limited edition prop replica Dr. No Casino Plaque Set.

During the Casino scene at Le Cercle (Les Ambassadeurs Club), James Bond plays a game of chemin de fer using cash plaques and for the first time introduces himself with "Bond. James Bond". The Factory Entertainment James Bond Dr. No Casino Plaques Prop Replica features three reproductions, based on the plaques used in filming, now held in the Bond Archives.

For filming, real plaques were loaned to lend an air of authenticity. Uniformed security guards stood watch off-camera and once filming wrapped, all but a very few plaques were returned to the casino.

The prop replica set contains three plaques of £50, £100, £500 in heavyweight acrylic.

The design feature an illustration of Les Ambassadors, 5 Hamilton Place, home to Le Cercle. Modern materials have been used in place of obsolete vintage materials and the serial numbers on each plaque have been modified for legal compliance reasons. Each plaque has flame-polished edges, inlaid mother of pearl-effect screen-printed artwork and engraved serial numbers.

The set is presented in a gift box, with magnetic closure and an individually numbered certificate of authenticity booklet.

The Dr. No Le Cercle Casino Plaque Set can now be ordered for £99.95 / $99.95 at the 007 Store and 007 Store USA or at Sideshow USA ($100).

Factory Entertainment James Bond Live And Let Die Tarot Cards Prop Replica Numbered Edition Remmert Fri, 01/28/2022 - 15:11

Factory Entertainment has re-released their James Bond Live And Let Die Tarot Cards Prop Replica set as a new Numbered Edition with extra cards.

The new Factory Entertainment James Bond Tarot Card prop replica set comes in a box with magnetic lid, black velvet pouch, numbered COA and booklet.

Solitaire's Tarot Of the Witches cards are an iconic piece of Bond history, playing a central role in the supernatural world of Live And Let Die.

The producers of the film were keen to avoid any of the typical occult stereotypes that were frequently seen in films of the period that featured tarot. So Scottish artist Fergus Hall was commissioned to paint unique art as the centerpieces for Solitaire’s iconic cards.

A traditional tarot card deck contains 78 cards, however the compressed tight deadlines of film production meant that only 27 different paintings, therefore only 27 different prop cards, could be completed in time.

A licensed deck of 78 Tarot Cards was made available in stores when Live And Let Die premiered in theaters.

The vintage deck of James Bond 007 Tarot Cards from the 1970s had a blue back (instead of red seen in the film) and came in a case with a book

These vintage sets can still easily be found on eBay.

This same deck was later re-branded as ‘The Tarot of the Witches’ and remains popular with tarot practitioners and enthusiasts to this day. However, both these decks feature significantly revised and edited artwork that was produced after filming had been completed and does not match what was seen in the film.

The Factory Entertainment team meticulously digitally restored high-resolution scans of the original prop cards in the EON Productions archive.

Factory Entertainment released their first replica set of the cards in 2010. That set came with 25 cards plus 2 extra Lovers cards, making a total of 27 cards in the set.

In 2010, Factory Entertainment released their first replica set of the cards, including 27 cards (25 different cards + 2 extra Lovers cards)
The set pictured here is currently offered on eBay for $465

The new 2022 set replicates exactly the 27 cards used in production, including two recently rediscovered cards which were thought to have been lost and have never been previously reproduced. The set also includes 10 duplicate ‘The Lovers’ cards, making a total of 37 cards in each set.

The 2022 Factory Entertainment Tarot set comes with 27 cards and 10 extra Lovers cards

Each card is printed on heavyweight playing card-stock and features a stylized 007 motif pattern on the reverse.

Presented in a new gift box with a magnetic closure. Each set includes an individually numbered COA booklet and a screen-accurate black velvet storage bag.

The cards can be pre-ordered for £79.95 / $79.95 at the 007 Store and 007 Store USA or on the Factory Entertainment website.

The legal title for ownership and use of the UK licence plate “J8 OND”. By securing this lot, you secure legal ownership of, and the right to use, this unique and sought-after personalised number plate, based on the name of Ian Fleming’s iconic character James Bond.

The lot includes two ‘presentation’ number plates – front and rear – made of acrylic. DVLA transfer will be arranged for the winning bidder, and it will be their responsibility to provide legal plates for their vehicle. It is worth noting that the numberplate “JB 007” sold at auction in 2015 for £240,000.

Estimate. £80,000 - 120,000

212. Peter Nelson Collection: Hotel Fontainebleau Table, Two Chairs and Sun Lounger

Goldfinger

A Hotel Fontainebleau table, two chairs and a sun lounger from Guy Hamilton’s Bond film Goldfinger.

James Bond (Sean Connery) met Felix Leiter (Cec Linder) at the Hotel Fontainebleau in Miami, where Leiter pointed out bullion dealer Auric Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe), enabling Bond to subsequently derail Goldfinger’s gin rummy ruse. The pool area of the hotel was filled with tables, chairs and sun loungers.

The chairs and sun lounger have metal frames with wooden slats which are painted white. The sun lounger’s padded cushion is blue and features several patches and small areas of repair. The fold-down table is made of wood and features white legs and a blue top.

From the personal collection of Peter Nelson, previously displayed at his two museums, “The Cars of the Stars” and “The Bond Museum” in Keswick, Cumbria, until they closed in 2011.

Estimate. £4,000 - 6,000

213. James Bond’s (Sean Connery) Screen-matched Little Nellie Pilot Helmet

You Only Live Twice (1967)

James Bond’s (Sean Connery) screen-matched Little Nellie pilot helmet from Lewis Gilbert’s Bond film You Only Live Twice. Bond wore his helmet while flying the autogyro dubbed “Little Nellie” to find Blofeld’s (Donald Pleasence) hidden base.

The helmet matches the one worn by Connery on-screen through the lens serial number and a small chip on the left side of the helmet’s metal cinecamera.

Two helmets were made for the production, one worn by Connery for close-ups and one worn by the autogyro stunt pilot, Wing Commander Ken Wallis. Both ended up in Wallis’ possession after the production and there are subtle differences between the two, including the shape of the cinecamera and the size of its lens. After production, the helmet was painted black, but it has since been sympathetically restored.

The helmet is made of white plastic with foam padding around the interior. Headphones rest over the ears and a microphone sits across the mouth. A cotton chin-strap is attached between the two headphones.

The helmet is displayed on a custom-made stand and is accompanied by a letter detailing the history of the item and a loan agreement between EON Productions and the vendor for the loan of the helmet to the Bond in Motion exhibition in Covent Garden. The helmet was also put on display in a Selfridges shop window on Oxford Street, London, to help promote the film’s release in 1967.

Estimate. £60,000 - 100,000

214. Peter Nelson Collection: James Bond’s (George Lazenby) Throwing Knife

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)

James Bond’s (George Lazenby) throwing knife from Peter R. Hunt’s Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. After being brought to Draco’s (Gabriele Ferzetti) office at gunpoint, Bond threw his knife at a calendar on Draco’s bookcase, piercing the date 14 September. Draco commented, “But today is the thirteenth, Commander,” to which Bond replied, “I’m superstitious”.

The knife features a steel blade with a faint engraving that reads “WHITBY Solingen Germany” and a dark wooden handle. It is presented in a brown leather Solingen sheath. The lot exhibits nicks and scratches from production use and age.

From the personal collection of Peter Nelson, previously displayed at his two museums, “The Cars of the Stars” and “The Bond Museum” in Keswick, Cumbria, until they closed in 2011.

Estimate. £6,000 - 8,000

220. Peter Nelson Collection: Miss Moneypenny’s (Lois Maxwell) Hat

A View To A Kill (1985)

Miss Moneypenny’s (Lois Maxwell) hat from John Glen’s Bond film A View to a Kill. Miss Moneypenny wore her flowered hat during the Ascot races that she attended with Bond (Roger Moore), M (Robert Brown), Q (Desmond Llewlyn) and Sir Godfrey Tibbett (Patrick Macnee).

The wide brim woven straw hat has a pink binding around the brim and features an array of white and pink imitation flowers sewn into the top of the head and around the front of the inner headband. It includes a John Boyd brand label on the interior. Accompanying this hat is a laminated still of Miss Moneypenny, Bond, M and Q on set.

From the personal collection of Peter Nelson, previously displayed at his two museums, “The Cars of the Stars” and “The Bond Museum” in Keswick, Cumbria, until they closed in 2011.

Estimate. £3,000 - 5,000

221. James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) Suit Display

Goldeneye (1995)

James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) three-piece suit from Martin Campbell’s Bond movie GoldenEye. Bond wore his Brioni suit as he came face-to-face with his old ally Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean). After Bond and Natalya (Izabella Scorupco) escaped from Trevelyan’s clutches they found themselves being interrogated by Russian Defence Minister Mishkin (Tcheky Karyo), before chasing General Ourumov (Gottfried John) through the streets of St Petersburg in a tank.

The suit is made by Brioni, the bespoke menswear couture house that created the majority of the luxury suits worn by Brosnan in the role of James Bond. Brosnan was integral to the process of developing Bond’s look, and was consulted on how his character would dress throughout his tenure. As costume designer Lindy Hemming later recounted: “We wanted him to look modern, but not trendy like someone in advertising. Pierce’s own demands were that the designs had to reflect the lightness of modern man, but still be svelte and smooth.”

The suit is made of blue wool with a silk-effect Brioni logo lining. The suit was made especially for Brosnan in the role, with the jacket labelled “Brioni, Roma” and featuring an Angels & Bermans costumiers label, which reads “1995 Goldeneye Pierce Brosnan”. The waistcoat and trousers both feature a similar description within. A white shirt and tie have been added to complete the look of the costume, which is presented on a custom-made display featuring the film title and a description of the bespoke outfit.

Estimate. £10,000 - 15,000

222. Xenia Onatopp’s (Famke Janssen) Helicopter Costume

Goldeneye (1995)

Xenia Onatopp’s (Famke Janssen) costume from Martin Campbell’s Bond movie GoldenEye. Onatopp, the Soviet assassin who worked for renegade 00 agent Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean), wore her costume during the final scenes of the film as she chased down Bond (Pierce Brosnan) in Cuba. She rappelled from a helicopter and fought Bond, who managed to reconnect her safety rope and shoot the helicopter down.

The costume consists of a nylon woven top with padded shoulders and chest; a pair of nylon trousers with plastic zips down the length of each leg; a black leather belt with a metal buckle and ring loops; and a black-and-purple safety harness with plastic clips and adjusters. Also included is a black-and-white still showing Onatopp in the film, a printed costume design and a page of printed storyboards depicting the character’s death. The garments display minor wear from production use and age, and the lot is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from EON.

Estimate. £8,000 - 12,000

223. James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) Hero Walther PPK

Goldeneye (1995)

James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) hero Walther PPK pistol and silencer from Martin Campbell’s Bond movie GoldenEye. Bond used his Walther PPK throughout the film, from his infiltration of the Soviet chemical weapons facility (where the pistol was fitted with a silencer), to his meeting with Valentin Zukovsky (Robbie Coltrane). Colonel Ourumov (Gottfried John) later used Bond’s weapon to kill Defence Minister Mishkin (Tcheky Karyo) and a guard, framing Bond for the crime.

The Walther PPK was Bond’s weapon of choice throughout the series, up to and including Tomorrow Never Dies, when he then switched to the Walther P99. In The Making of GoldenEye by Garth Pearce, armourer Charlie Bodycomb explains that a real, blank-firing Walther PPK was used in close-up, because gun experts in the audience would be able to tell the difference.

The Walther PPK is made of blued steel with an acrylic grip, and has the serial number “811590”. The silencer is attached to the pistol using a screw fitting via a threaded barrel. The pistol is sympathetically deactivated and features a functioning trigger, hammer, magazine release and safety. The lot is also accompanied by a certificate of authentication from Bapty, the production armourers, and the pistol’s certificate of deactivation.

Estimate. £30,000 - 50,000

224. James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) Holster

Goldeneye (1995)

James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) holster from Martin Campbell’s Bond movie GoldenEye. Bond used holsters to carry his iconic Walther PPK pistol, and had two differently designed holsters in the film: a figure-hugging one to maintain the smooth line of his suit, and a larger Galco holster, which allowed Brosnan to draw the weapon quickly and stylishly.

This is the Galco holster, and it features a moulded leather pocket, a leather loop which goes over the shoulder, and an elasticated strap which clips to the trouser band. The lot is also accompanied by a certificate of authentication from Bapty, the production armourers.

Estimate. £6,000 - 8,000

1061. Set of Five Monte Carlo Casino Playing Cards

Goldeneye (1995)

Five Monte Carlo Casino playing cards from Martin Campbell’s Bond film GoldenEye.

After defeating a fellow gambler, Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen) played a game of baccarat with James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) at the Monte Carlo Casino. This set of playing cards consists of a 2 of diamonds, a 7 of hearts, a 5 of spades, a 2 of spades, and a club with a drawing of a wreath around it. Each is printed on glossy white cardstock. They exhibit minor edge wear and mild tearing from production.

Estimate. £3,000 - 5,000

New James Bond Golden Gun Prop Replica by Factory Entertainment Remmert Tue, 02/28/2023 - 15:54

The 007Store has revealed the new Factory Entertainment James Bond Golden Gun Prop Replica, a 1:2 scale model of the iconic weapon used by Scaramanga in The Man With the Golden Gun (1974).

Please note this is a solid, one piece replica and does not break down into separate parts. It is also half the size of the original prop gun.

The Golden Gun was made up of seemingly innocuous separate elements which when combined, created a deadly 4.2-calibre single-shot handgun. Scaramanga's lighter, fountain pen, cigarette case, cufflink and bullet could be smuggled through customs without detection, allowing him to carry the gun at all times.

This 6-inch long replica is cast out of solid metal and comes with an acrylic display stand and collector packaging.

Several full size replicas have been made in the past, first by S.D. Studios and later by Factory Entertainment. Those full-size props are very accurate replicas and can be taken apart. This new smaller model can not be taken apart.

The new 1:2 scale model is available to pre-order, shipping within 2 or 3 weeks.

James Bond Goldfinger DB5 Ejector Seat Button Prop Replica Remmert Tue, 09/19/2023 - 20:53

The latest 007Store exclusive will have Bond fans jump out of their seats: the James Bond Goldfinger DB5 Ejector Seat Button Prop Replica.

This is a replica of the iconic Aston Martin gearshift stick with a flip-top concealing the button to activate the passenger ejector seat.

Each is numbered and part of a series of just 1,964, a reference to the year that Goldfinger was released, the movie in which the Aston Martin DB5 and the ejector sear gadget was first seen.

About the prop

Originally conceived by longtime Bond Production Designer, Ken Adam, for the movie Goldfinger (1964), the original prop was crafted using a combination of found-parts and specially machined components. It did not function, it was purely cosmetic.

Sean Connery as James Bond using the ejector sear button in the movie Goldfinger (1964)

The same prop was recreated for 2012’s SkyFall. for the scene in which Bond and M escape Silva in London and Bond threatens M jokingly that he will eject her if she keeps complaining about the DB5's stiff ride.

Daniel Craig as James Bond threatening to use the ejector sear button in the movie SkyFall (2012)

It's all in the details

This replica has been copied from surviving material in the EON Productions Archive. The knob is crafted of aluminum and resin. It’s flip-up lid features a magnetic closure and a red momentary switch has been used for the famous button. Each replica is permanently mounted on a display stand printed with Goldfinger and Aston Martin logos and the number plate of the car. Packaged in a gift box with a numbered certificate of authenticity booklet.

Note that although the button delivers a satisfying ‘click’, the replica does not activate an ejector seat and will not rid you of any unwanted passengers!

James Bond Oddjob Hat Prop Replica Goldfinger Numbered Edition Remmert Thu, 10/05/2023 - 17:13

Factory Entertainment has created the James Bond Oddjob Hat Prop Replica - Goldfinger Numbered Edition.

The prop replica hat is made in a series of just 1,000 and comes presented in a museum quality case, allowing you to display it in a number of ways.

History of the hat

For the film Goldfinger, Square Crown Bowler style hats were originally chosen from a selection at London theatrical and film costumier, M.Berman Ltd.

These hats were given to Oscar-winning special effects expert John Stears, who modified them and created different stunt hats for different uses. One of the hats had with a full underbrim which was made with metal supplied by New Pro Foundries Middlesex.

Another hat was given an embedded metal rim that allowed it to be firmly fixed in place between the Fort Knox bars on set at Pinewood.

A third style was modified with an internal mechanism that allowed it to travel along a guide wire and be controlled as it moved through the air.

Famous hat makers Lock & Co. hatters were then commissioned to make the custom hats for Oddjob to wear with his costume.

About the replica

The prop replica was created after careful study of the original SFX hat with the embedded rim in the EON Productions archives, as well as reference photographs and original production drawings. The original archive hat was hand-measured, and a 3D model was created from these measurements in order to create wooden molds, or ‘forms’, that were then used to press and stretch woolen felt into the correct shapes.

Screen accurate finishing details include black edging ribbon and a satin hat band on the exterior, satin lining and leather band on the interior, laser cut brushed stainless steel metal ring.

The hat comes with a museum-style mirrored display base with acrylic cover, specially designed magnetic supports and an individually numbered metal plaque bearing the unique edition number of each piece. Each replica also includes a certificate of authenticity booklet. The edition size for this replica is 1,000 pieces.

Other Oddjob hats

This is not the first replica: SD Studios once made a few replica's also on a mirrored base.

Some of the original screen-used hats were auctioned over the years. One of the hats sold at Christie's in 1998 for £62,000. Another hat, owned by actor Harold Sakata himself, sold for just over $30,000 at Julien's Auctions in 2006. Another one showed up at Antiques Roadshow in 2020.

Lock & Co currenty offers the Oddjob hat (without steel rim) in their James Bond collection, for £795.00, read more here.

The new, Limited Edition 2023 Oddjob prop replica hat can be ordered on the 007Store for £499.95 (UK International) or $499 (USA) and will ship late November 2023.

Factory Entertainment announces limited edition Solex Agitator prop replica Remmert Mon, 01/29/2024 - 21:04

Factory Entertainment has created a James Bond Solex Agitator Prop Replica - The Man With The Golden Gun Numbered Edition, made in a series of 1,000.

This is the first officially licensed replica of the Solex Agitator. Several fans have made replicas before, see one example here. An original screen-used prop was auctioned for £55,000 in the 2012 Christie's 50 Years of James Bond Auction.

The Solex Agitator is a key component of Francisco Scaramanga’s solar energy device, and a central plot element in the 1974 film.

The original prop was created using a variety of found components, encased in acrylic to create the distinctive central core.

The Factory Entertainment team were able to carefully study a surviving original prop in the EON Productions Archive.

This replica is based on the original prop which contained a range of 1970s obsolete vintage electrical and computing components. Each has been carefully hand-duplicated.

The frame is machined aluminum and the core components have been recreated in resin and have been embedded into clear acrylic, exactly like the original prop.

Each replica is presented in a wooden display box with 007 logo engraved on the glass.

James Bond Jaws Teeth Silver-plated Paperweight Remmert Wed, 05/22/2024 - 15:38

007Store offers another exclusive collectible: the James Bond Jaws Teeth Silver-plated Paperweight - Numbered Edition.

This precious collectible is handmade in a series of just 500, with the first 100 now in stock.

7’2” actor Richard Kiel was first cast as villainous metal-toothed strongman Jaws for The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and proved so popular that he reappeared in Moonraker (1979) two years later.

The film’s production designer Ken Adam gave Katharina Kubrick in the art department the job of designing the dentures. Art director Peter Lamont sent Kiel to his dentist in Buckinghamshire for the moulds to be cast. The teeth were then made of a surgical-grade cobalt steel alloy and although uniquely shaped to fit, could only be worn for a few minutes at a time before becoming uncomfortable.

This reproduction of Jaws' teeth is cast from 288g brass and then plated with highly polished silver.

The paperweight has a heavy feel and comes in two parts - upper and lower dentures - which fit together to sit on top of each other.

Presented in a black gift box with a Jaws story card and individually numbered certificate.

Available now at the 007Store (£220 / $286)
